The boys’ track team cruised to a solid victory tonight defeating Walled Lake Northern 79-58. The distance squad led the charge, sweeping the 800, 1600, and 3200 (Robinson, Bush, Peterson, and Borkowski combining efforts in those events). The sprint relays dominated, winning the 4×200 (Grymut, Compton, Loll, Miller) and the 4×100 (Quintero, Loll, Mayes, Compton) with a time of 43.53, which is a NEW SCHOOL RECORD. Wins were also recorded by Tyler Duff in the high jump, Kyle Miller in the 110 & 300 hurdles, the 4×800 (Bush, Peterson, Arnold, Robinson) and the 4×400 (Miller, Loll, Borkowski, Grymut). The boys bring their record to 2-1.
The girls fought hard and lost a tough meet, 72-64. Wins were recorded by Morgan Fuerst in the 200 & 400, the 4×200 (Gean, Bailey, Osika, Fuerst), Mackenzie Cortese in the high jump, the 4×800 (Munley, Stachowski, Petsch, Miller) and the 4×400 (Munley, Stachowski, Gean, Fuerst). The girls’ record is 1-2 in the division.
